Meme (Me-Me-Me-Meeeee!)

Um. So, I’m wandering around on about 5 hours of sleep and 12 hours of work, so I don’t have a lot of energy. So of course, I must meme. Because that is what must be done. I did this awhile ago, and a couple of friends did it more recently, and I’m a bit sheepish (hah!).

Life Soundtrack
So, here’s how it works:

1. Open your library (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, iPod, etc)
2. Put it on shuffle
3. Press play
4. For every question, type the song that’s playing
5. When you go to a new question, press the next button
6. Don’t lie

Opening Credits:
a) Neverending White Lights – “Miss World” (OMG! Awesome cover but…omg)
b) Danny Michel – Um…my player says I’m listening to “God Knows I’m Good” but it’s actually playing “Sons of the Silent Age”, both are Bowie covers, which is appropriate, but so weird that my player went all schizo…

Waking Up:
a) Manic Street Preachers – “Tsunami”
b) Tegan and Sara – “Don’t Confess (This Thing That Breaks My Heart)”

First day at High School:
a) Jaymay – “Sycamore Down”
b) Dropkick Murphys – “Flannigan’s Ball” ( 0.o )

Falling in Love:
a) The Duhks – “Dance Hall Girls”
b) Hot Chip – “Down With Prince”

Fight Song:
a) Nine Inch Nails – “The Greater Good” (I could see this song leading up to a fight, and Trent Reznor is always good to have on your side)
b) Gomez – Sound of Sounds (I think this means that I don’t fight…maybe one shouldn’t do this kind of meme with so little sleep…very little of this meme fits very well so far…seriously)

Breaking Up:
a) Nine Inch Nails – “My Violent Heart” (I seem to be the dumper rather than the dumpee in this song…huh…I also seem to be a bit…dominatrix about it)
b) Hot Chip – “Out at the Pictures” (of course, there must be synth-pop)

a) Garbage – “Fix Me Now”
b) The Faders – “No Sleep Tonight” (I can assure you, I was up all night during my prom, but I wasn’t getting it on with anyone…whose life am I filling out in this meme?!?)

a) Iron & Wine – “Cinder and Smoke” (actually, rather apt.)
b) Wolf Parade – “I’ll Believe in Anything” (Yup.)

Mental Breakdown:
a) Dave Matthews – “Grey Blue Eyes” (okay, it’s getting a little more appropriate, though the eye colour may be wrong…I forgets…)
b) Modest Mouse – “Blame it on the Tetons” (Yesssss….)

a) Modest Mouse – “The Cold Part” (Um…scary…”So long to this cold, cold part of the world”?!? My iTunes seems depressed today).
b) Hanne Hukkelberg – “Pynt” (sounds funereal…crap…).

a) Kimya Dawson – “So Nice So Smart” (I’ve never snuck into anyone’s house and shared roofies with their spouse).
b) Iron & Wine – “Lion’s Mane” (“Love is a tired symphony you hum when you’re awake”)

Getting Back Together:
a) Nine Inch Nails – “The Good Soldier” (Holy Sh*t! “I am trying, to see, I am trying to believe, this is not where I should be, I am trying to believe.”)
b) Soloyoni – “Parachute (When Will I See Those Zartan Blue Eyes Again?)” (apparently, not supposed to get back together…)

a) Pearl Jam – “Black” (Oh jeez. I’m doomed. This is getting funny!)
b) Nada Surf – “Concrete Bed” (um)

Birth of Child:
a) Iron & Wine – “Teeth in the Grass” (as The Tudor Rose said, “this movie is turning into a tragedy, a story of an abusive relationship or something…”)
b) Soul Asylum – “Tell Me When” (doomed, doomed I say).

Final Battle:
a) Danny Michel – “Big Brother” (I have my iTunes set to having the music repeat less often…um…There’s a lot of NIN and a lot of Danny’s Bowie covers)
b) Cake – “Long Line of Cars” (?)

Death Scene:
a) cLOUDDEAD – “Son of a Gun” (“May their children always play ‘Murder Weapons and Stick’.”)
b) Cake – “Alpha-Beta Parking Lot” (Oddly appropriate)

Funeral Song:
a) Iron & Wine – “Resurrection Fern”
b) Iron & Wine – “Bird Stealing Bread”

End Credits:
a) Cake – “Sheep Go To Heaven” (Oh yah, alright.)
b) Soul Asylum – “Hopes Up” (“There’s just no substitute for fun”)

Seriously. Whacked.
